hi, I’m Ioana!

I’ve been a writer my entire life even though it took me around 26 years to finally admit it. More specifically, I’m a poet.

When I moved to Barcelona in 2021, I had the urge to find an artistic community. So I participated in a slam poetry competition and I was hooked.

I found the most inspiring people and I started sharing my poems more and more, till writing became the most important thing in my life.

From there, I organized poetry gatherings and events in Barcelona to bring people together to celebrate art and authentic connections.

I love facilitating creative and learning workshops - maybe “space holding” is not a well-known skill but I think I have it (which means creating a safe environment for people to change and experiment).

I’d like to meet you if we haven’t already!

other things about me

I’m a certified yoga teacher but it’s been at least 3 years since I have taught classes.

I’m a mindfulness nerd: I love everything from breathwork to meditation, from journaling to EFT, from cacao ceremonies to Ecstatic Dance. You name it - I’ve tried it.

I studied International Management and I’m working in Marketing; as for my greatest passion, I’m sure you’ve already figured it out.

My favorite poet is T.S. Eliot and the poem that made me fall irrevocably in love with his writing is The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock.

I was born and raised in Romania, lived in Holland for 6 months, and I’m currently in Barcelona (until August 2024).

I talked more about what I do on the podcast “Nathalie Nahai In Conversation”. You can listen to the episode on Spotify.

perhaps irrelevant but who knows?

  • For schools. Students between the ages of 7 - 17. 1h30 of exploring and writing poetry.

  • Let’s co-organize and/or co-host thoughtful events, whether it's poetry open mics or fundraising nights.

  • I've been exploring the mindfulness world for the past 10 years and organizing workshops (at work and on my own) for 3 years. Conscious movement, yoga, breathwork. What would you need?
